When you add a domain thats already connected to your Bubble app. You will get a notification that a loop was detected. In this article we will explain how to solve that.

To make CoAlias work you need to add your app domain to your account. Most of the time these are domains like appname.bubbleapps.io. But sometimes users add a domain that is already connected to their bubble app to CoAlias.com. You can't have a domain connected both to your Bubble app and to CoAlias. You can solve it by doing the following:

 

  1. Go to your Bubble app. Under settings, then Domain /Email. Then uncheck "Redirect all requests to the domain" under Email settings. You need to deploy this change for it to work.
  2. Go to CoAlias, then to settings, and under click on change on the Account information section. You can now change your app domain name to appname.bubbleapps.io (replace appname with your own app name). Click on change.
  3. Then you can add the original domain to CoAlias and update your ip to 76.76.21.21. Remove the records that point to Bubble.
  4. Once your main domain works again, you can remove the domain from your Bubble app. You can do this by going to your bubble app editor. Then going to settings => domain/email. And then press delete domain.

If you are using the internal sendgrid emailing. This will stop working. You will need to use a other sendgrid plugin for Bubble emails.
